Today, we’re going to break down a few common missteps that most parents don’t even notice. Things like negative speech patterns, off the cuff criticism, or being flippant with your child’s emotions can lead to problems down the line.

It’s a hard truth to hear, but the fact of the matter is not all friendships last forever. Sometimes you bond with people at a job, or in specific circumstances, and once you’ve left that situation, often the friendship deteriorates as well. Or maybe you’re just growing apart from someone that you’ve been friends with for a very long time.

Think about what you want in life. Is “happiness” one of those things? It usually is for most people. But, happiness is not a destination; it’s a state of being. In psychology, this state is often referred to as self-actualization.

Whether it’s an incompetent co-worker, a client with an anger management problem, a judgmental neighbor or an interfering relative, we’ve all had to deal with difficult people in our lives.

Being a shy person myself, everyone is always urging me to break out of my comfort zone. Do something new! Do something unexpected! If you’re anything like me, you’ll agree that this is easier said than done.

Successful people seem like they have it all together and are constantly under control. With a busy lifestyle, running from one thing to another and struggling to stay on top of your tasks — it might seem like successful people are superheroes.

Let’s face it. We’ve all dealt with rejection, and you know what? It sucks. Big time. Nobody likes getting their heart ripped out, or hearing their kids say, “I hate you,” or not getting that promotion because you “aren’t the right fit.”

Raising children is not only hectic, but can also be quite a stressful undertaking. You might often find yourself feeling at a loss and wondering how to approach your job as a parent.

Between packing lunches, signing homework and locating lost mittens, getting your kids out the door in the morning can be hurried, chaotic and downright stressful – and your day has only just started!
