Science is catching up. With the most modern methods of treatment, we are now able to stop the growth of some tumors and even remove cancerous cells altogether. These 35 celebrities are some of the best examples of how modern treatment can work.

Rod Stewart

Stewart suffered from Thyroid Cancer, which was noticed during a routine CAT scan in the year 2000.

Sharon Osbourne

Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002, which was cured after she had a one-foot part of her colon removed.

Kathy Bates

The American Horror Story star beat ovarian cancer in 2003, and when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, she decided to have a double mastectomy.

Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow was told she had cancer around 2007, and she had both breast and brain tumors to deal with. She gets regular MRIs to ensure she’s still fine.
