The weather may be cooling down but, as per usual, flu season is starting to heat up! Flu season isn’t as predictable as the cycle of the moon, but it does ebb and flow this time of year fairly reliably. Flu season (the season marked by a prevalence of outbreaks of influenza) occurs during the colder months of each respective hemisphere. For North Americans, that’s the winter months of October through to March.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers of women worldwide. This type of cancer affects the cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus. For 2019, the American Cancer Society (ACS) estimates there will be approximately 13,170 cases of newly diagnosed invasive cervical cancer in the United States. Of these newly diagnosed cases of cervical cancer, approximately 4,250 women will die from the disease.
